Current Events


  • Apple's WWDC, scheduled June 10 through 14, 2013, sold out in a mere two minutes, which is an all time record.
  • Netflix has begun making original content, which have been very popular. In addition they have made the third season of Arrested Development a Netflix only experience. Things like this are causing their profits to rise 25%.
  • Facebook is storing a very large amount of user data. 
  • Dish Network has offered to purchase Sprint for $25.5 billion.
  • Apple reported its first profit decline in over a decade
  • Apple indicated it did not have any major releases planned until the Autumn
  • Itunes prepares to mark there 10th anniversary for I-Tunes and is struggling competing with online free radio stations such as Pandora,Spotify,etc.
  • Apples stock has plumeted 40% since September.
